I grabbed one of my first finished sketchbooks and pulled out a few of the better ones. I would have shared all the pages, but it’s large and won’t fit on the scanner. I hate editing photos. I hate editing photos I took with a camera instead of scanning the […]
I know, it’s Monday, but here’s my sketchbook from Paris. My niece met me there after my week in the Netherlands and we spent our time walking around and taking in everything we could. Also eating. Lots of eating. If you want to see the Netherlands sketchbook, it’s here. As […]
I went through a few older sketchbooks for this post. Some are from years ago and some are from this year. I’m still working on my sketches from Holland and Paris.
The weather is absurd. It’s so windy I rescheduled lunch plans and refuse to leave my house. Gusts up to 50mph. I feel like I’m back in New Mexico. With my newly freed afternoon, I thought I’d scan in some sketches. I bought a very nice leather sketchbook on my […]

Hopefully I will only have 1 page of eyes left and then it’s on to the nose, but that is a much shorter chapter. These are not as good as the other ones. Nothing good from the daily sketch book.
Anything with a page number is practice from “The Human Figure” by John H. Vanderpoel. If I start practicing from another book I will note it in the caption.
