Almost Does Not Cut It.

I was slow getting started today.  I began reading The Martian for book club and got a little sucked in.

I had just convinced myself to start my new  painting and gathered my materials when my older brother called.  We barely hang out so I went to his house for the day.

Lots of video games.  Especially The New Super Mario Bros. Next Levels.

While I had a lot of fun and don’t regret going, this is one issue with being my own boss/not working in a dedicated office.

It is too easy to drop everything when someone calls. If I was working at a job,  I couldn’t just take off. Most people will see this as a perk and sometimes it is.

I just need to learn how to keep it balanced.  Tips are appreciated.

I have been really productive lately,  so I’m not feeling too guilty. However, I just walked into the RV and my unpainted drawing was staring at me,  waiting up to see who I’d been with. I promised it,  tomorrow. Tomorrow I will give it all the attention it needs and begged for forgiveness.

Do you prefer the structure of a “real job” or the freedom of being your own boss?
